Europe is right on our doorstep, but there’s so much to discover.

From old cities and medieval squares to Mediterranean beaches, mountain escapes and the occasional slightly questionable European beer, this is where a lot of our travelling happens.

Depending on the various political, geographic or institutional definitions the number of countries in Europe varies quite a bit. The United Nations says there are 44 so i’m going with that number.

I love exploring cities on foot, finding good food and local drinks, soaking up a little bit of history and culture, and occasionally getting out for a run while i’m there. The bulk of places on It’s Just Up Here are in Europe as its easy to get to and doesn’t (normally) cost an arm or a leg.
